Corinthian Updates: 1st BOD Meeting for FY12-13


Last June 28, 2012, Casa Bocobo along TM. Kalaw became the venue for the first BOD meeting and Planning Session for the FY 2012-2013.

In attendance were the ff:
President: Ludivico P. Idano
VP-Programs & Development: Josimarian O. Barcil
VC-Operations: Omar C. Palero
Secretary: Maria Monica E. Pujalte
Treasurer: Jared Aaron R. Cruz
Auditor: Ronald C. Bacal
Director: Clarissa Minette R. Torralba
Director: Arnel O. Cuizon

Not in attendance were Director: Nadia Kristine C. Nicerio, but was represented by Jared and our IPP Pam A. Constantino, represented by Prez. Vhic.  Documenting the meeting was Arch. Maria Sheyne Sanchez.

Among the topics discussed were the thrust of the incoming National Board with our new President Architect Sonny Rosal.

UAP Thrust
"Protect the Profession, Protect the Practice and  Serve the Members"

Although, the official national plans and and programs will be presented after the Oath of Office, things are looking up for the Architects for the coming fiscal year with the continuous pursuant of R.A. 9266.

On the other hand, The District B2 thrust for the year is: "Moving Ahead in the Practice of the Profession", with Arch. Babes Medina of Maynilad Chapter spearheading the district.

For the second term of Arch. Vhic Idano, he will continue the Chapters Thrust on "Leadership through Passion and Inspiration; Corinthians' legacy to service oriented architecture."

The 3-fold thrust of the LPI Presidency is further divided into:

Legacy
Revitalization of past chapter president's long term programs which can be adopted and very much suitable at present time.

Profession, Professional, Professional Organization, Professional Product
As adopted from the 4-point UAP thrust for the general membership.

Initiative
Initiate long term responsive programs for career enhancement and professional development especially to the young aspirants of the profession.  Extend Corinthian Service to members abroad.

The next topic discussed were the duties and responsibilities of each Chapter Officers.  It is good to note that all expressed their commitment to the service of the chapter.

As our first project for the fiscal year, we started planning for our 1st GMM with Chapter Secretary Moning Pujalte spearheading the event.  We pegged July 26, 2012 as our targeted date with details to follow.

All in all, the chapter officers for the coming FY 2012-2013 promises an exciting year for all Corinthian Architect.
