Corinthian Officers Joins the District B2 Corporate Planning and Team Building

No amount of rain stopped five of our Board of Directors as we drive south of Manila to join other officers of the different chapters of UAP District B2 to Tagaytay over the weekend, as we took part in the Corporate Planning and Team Building under the leadership of our very own Past Chapter President, and currently District Director Ar. Patrick Rodriguez.

Chapter President Ar. Omar Palero was joined by the VP-Programs, Ar. Maria Sheyne Sanchez, VP-Operations, Maria Monica Pujalte, Secretary Ar. Clarisa Minnette Torralba and Immediate Past President Ludivico Idano.

Select officers and members of the other chapters namely, UAP Manila Alcaldia, UAP Manila Maharlika, UAP Manila Alcaldia, UAP Intramuros, UAP MAGS and UAP La Solidaridad converged at Jenmac Resort in Alfonso, Cavite, just in time for the morning snack.  Afterwards, District Director Pat, announced the upcoming activities for the coming months and asked suggestions for the 2nd semester line-up of activities.

Among the highlights of the planning were the following events:

     Spearheaded by UAP MAGS in cooperation with UAP Manila Corinthian and UAP Intramuros

May 24: District Sportsfest

After the planning session, the attendees including sponsors were divided into 3 teams.  The boat building task was given as the group break for lunch.

Team 1: Architects Patrick, Videl, Andrea, Ludel, Dick, Cherry, Ariel and Sponsors Ian of Davies and James of Crown Pipes.

Team 2: Architect's Carlos, John Joel, Flynn, Clang, Cesar, Vic, Tessa, Charles and Sponsor Renalee of Crown Pipes.

Team 3: Architect's Raymund, Mike, Teddy, Monica, Alpha, Randie, Fairy and Rejin of Crown Pipes..

The objective of the first game was to create a boat that can carry one person to cross the pool with the material given.  In case nobody reach the finish line, the winner would be the longest to stay afloat with the passenger boarded.

Team 1 emerged as the winner for the first event, with the surf board style creation.

The 2nd game was the Wet T-Shirt Game.  Teams must fill a bucket using two wet shirts.  The winner for this event was team 2.

The 3rd game was the Fishing Bingo.  Plastic Fish with numbers were scattered around the pool.  Team members must look for the numbered fish that corresponds to the combination in the Bingo Board.  First to complete a straight combination wins and Team 3 with strong swimmers won the game.

With each team winning simultaneously, a tie breaker game called the Longest Line was played.  With nothing but the clothes on their back, team members creates a line of items including themselves around the pool.  It was Team 2 that emerged as the over-all winner.

It was free time for the remainder of the day.  Some continued swimming, while others got free spa treatments provided by our sponsors  and the rest started the socials over drinks and Karaoke.

After dinner, tokens were awarded to our Major Sponsor Davies Paints. 

Also, we acknowledge the generosity of our other sponsors, Sun Life and Crown Pipes.

Everybody got a chance to bring home an item during the raffle.   The party continued late at night until the next morning.

It was day filled with fun as the officers of different chapters bonded towards the District and National goal of one UAP.
